Stunning Tropical Beaches
Ifiele’ele is within 20 to 45 minutes drive of many of the best beaches on the south coast of Upolu. These include Savaia, Return to Paradise, Matareva, Salamumu, Sataoa and Virgin Cove. Swimming, snorkelling and surfing are all popular activities at these beaches.
Dive and Snorkel Samoa

Giant Clams
Just a 20-minute drive from Ifiele’ele on the south coast of Upolu is Lefaga Bay. The village has created a marine reserve and is rehabilitating the ocean habitat and sea-life. You can snorkel over the giant clams which quiver and change colour as you approach.
Outdoor Samoa
Located at Mulifanua, Outdoor Samoa specializes in guided outdoor adventure experiences. Mountain bike and kayak tours are available or you can hire the gear and explore on your own.
Lalotalie Rviver Walks
Also at Lefaga Bay, is Lalotalie River Retreat offering guided walks – an exhilarating hike taking in river beds and numerous waterfalls or something more leisurely. A great way to get right into the pristine natural environment.
Earthspa Samoa

Golf Courses
There are two 18 hole golf courses in Samoa. The original course is at Fagali’i on the outskirts of Apia, offering challenging terrain and fantastic views. A second course is located at the Faleata Sports Complex which is less than a 30-minute drive from Ifiele’ele. Golf in Samoa is very cheap – WST45 for 18 holes with buggy at Faleata.
Manaia Polynesian Spa
Also at Sheraton Aggie Grey’s Lagoon Beach Resort and Spa. In a tropical garden setting, the Spa offers an extensive range of massage and beauty treatments in individual fales. A modern, air-conditioned gymnasium is also available.
Ferry to Savaii
Ifiele’ele is a convenient 15-minute drive from Mulifanua Wharf, making it an easy launch pad for day or longer trips to the island of Savaii. See the schedule.
