Ifiele’ele Plantation boasts a sparkling 20 metre lap pool. Great for keeping fit or simply to cool off on a hot day.
Pool Fale and BBQ
Beside the pool is a fale complete with luxurious daybeds and throw cushions. Ideal for relaxing with a good book and a cold drink as afternoon breeze blows through. Also fabulous for an afternoon or evening meal prepared on the wood-fired BBQ located alongside the pool fale.
A traditional Samoan faleo’o is part of ‘Siapo’s Corner’. Furnished with bean bags by day, this is another fantastic spot to relax. The faleo’o doubles as a sleeping fale for those keen for a true Samoan experience.
For tennis enthusiasts, Ifiele’ele Plantation has its own full-size tennis court. Rackets and balls are available for loan. For those who prefer to ‘shoot some hoops’, a basketball backboard is installed at one end of the tennis court.
Nature and Art Walk
For a short stroll, a shaded path meanders through native bush and is dotted with exquisite, locally carved sculptures before arriving at the ‘secret fairy garden’. For those who might prefer a longer walk the whole plantation is there to explore and includes areas planted with various fruit trees, the goat’s enclosure and the duck compound.
Our local staff can teach you how to scrape a coconut for coconut cream, make a ‘tauaga‘ for squeezing the coconut or weave a basket or plate. They can also demonstrate and prepare Samoan ‘koko‘ or a traditional ‘umu‘ for your dinner. You can ask them to teach you a Samoan song or ‘siva‘ (dance).
